Sustainable Employment & Paid Opportunities

Workshop Description: This 90-minute workshop is designed to guide graduate students and new counselors on the path to finding sustainable employment and creating unique opportunities within the mental health and wellness field. Attendees will leave with practical strategies to finding worthwhile employment, a refreshed awareness and broadened sense of opportunity, and empowerment to take control of their careers. Associates are the future of the mental health field and there is power in that!

Dates: Wednesday 3/31 12:00 PM CST to 1:30 PM CST

**All workshops are hosted via Zoom and are 90 minutes.

Continuing Education: All workshops count for 1.5 CE credits for Texas LPC and LMFT.

Presenter Bio: Eboni is an LPC Associate and the Policy and Advocacy Director for the LPC Associates of Texas. She currently works as the Director of Counseling and Consultation at Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, Texas; a historical minority-serving institution. Graduating from Southern Methodist University in 2018, Eboni experienced many challenges while starting and navigating a career in mental health. Through experience, trial, and error, she continues to strive for greater opportunities to create her place in the field. Eboni believes that associates have the highest value being they are the future of mental health and is willing to share the knowledge she has gained on her journey to empower and support her peers. Eboni’s range of experience includes work with first-generation college students, juveniles in detention, LGBTQ population, homeless individuals, HIV+ population, and high school students experiencing behavioral setbacks. Her current client focus is on individuals seeking support with building confidence, establishing boundaries, accomplishing new goals and habits, and improving their self-worth.
