FINANCIAL BOUNDARIES AS AN ASSOCIATE

Workshop Description: This is a 90-minute workshop for novice mental health professionals or those expecting to enter the counseling field. We will focus on financial aspects of being a new clinician under supervision. We will explore the value of time and our work as mental health counselors. We will discuss money scripts and how your relationship with money can affect you as a counselor. Participants will receive journal prompts to explore their relationship with money on a deeper level.

**All workshops are hosted via Zoom and are 90 minutes.

Continuing Education: All workshops count for 1.5 CE credits for Texas LPC and LMFT.

Presenter Bio: Leah Walter is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate, and the Director of Education for the LPC Associates of Texas. She graduated with her Masters of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2018 from Texas State University. Her clinical experience includes, court-mandated clients, military couples and families, and those living unconventional lifestyles. She has completed all requirements for certification in animal-assisted counseling and has worked with children and teens with her canine co-counselor. Leah is continuing to support her clients in exploring needs and boundaries in relationships. She is advocating for the associate population to explore new knowledge and advocate for more opportunities for associates to train and present in a professional capacity.
